The award ceremony for the 12th International Innovation and Invention Competition was held on November 18, 2021 in Taipei, Taiwan at the Ambassador Hotel. Congratulatory messages were sent by President Tsai Ing-wen and Vice President Lai Ching-de. Among the guests were former Vice President Wu Dunyi, Deputy Minister of Economy Lin Chuan-Neng, Deputy General Director of the International Relations Department of the NGO Elvi Wu, Deputy General Director of the Intellectual Property Office Zhang Yuying, Director of the Information Services Group of the Bureau of the Ministry of Economy and Industry Lin Biu, and also Taipei City Councilor Xu Shu-Hua. Wu Kou Chen, President of the International Alliance of Innovation and Invention Associations, in his welcoming speech, noted that IAIA and CIIS are actively encouraging inventors to participate in international inventive events with national specifications. The jury consisted of 4 professors in various fields, 1 public representative, 1 intellectual property lawyer and 10 experts from different countries. All winners of the competition were strictly selected by a jury committee.
In 2021, 476 projects were presented at IIIC, more than 1000 inventors from 11 countries took part in the event.
Representatives of the MAGNITOGORSK IRON & STEEL WORKS PJSC, who participated in the competition as part of the joint exposition of Russian inventors and manufacturers of innovative products organized by the Archimedes International Club, won gold medals for their developments.
